Providing Safe Care

Taking Care for Your Safety

ThedaCare has adopted new procedures to safely provide care for our communities while protecting patients from potential exposure to COVID-19. Learn more about the steps we’re taking.

Care in everything we do

In our phased approach to reopening facilities and resuming care services – including essential surgeries, primary care and other specialties and diagnostics – your health and safety remains our top priority.

Steps we’re taking

Screen

Implementing screenings, temperature checks and mask requirements for everyone who enters a ThedaCare facility, and continuing visitor restrictions

Separate

Continuing designated facilities to isolate and provide care for COVID-19 patients, apart from other procedures and services

Social Distance

Emphasizing the importance of social distancing among staff during off-hours, to reduce their risk of exposure

PPE

Ensuring availability and proper use of PPE to protect patients and caregivers alike

Prepare

Testing all surgery patients for COVID-19 prior to procedure; if a patient tests positive, their surgery will be delayed, unless urgent

Provide Care Options

Increasing virtual visit capacity and encouraging patients to consider these options to get the care they need from the safety of their home

Know your options

Whether you’re an existing ThedaCare patient who has needed to defer care or a new patient seeking diagnosis or treatment, ThedaCare is here to provide the care you and your family need, when you need it most.
